Jerry Westberg

Jerry Lee Westberg, 72, of Bettendorf, Iowa and formerly of Marshall, Minnesota and San Marcos, Texas, passed away on Saturday, October 29, 2016 at his home.

A celebration of Jerry’s life will be held at a later date and his family kindly ask that memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Shriners Hospitals for Children or to Wounded Warriors.

Jerry was born December 24, 1943 in Willmar, Minnesota, the son of Walter & Minnie (Clausen) Westberg.  He served in the United States Air Force from 1961 to 1965.

On March 25, 1972, Jerry was united in marriage to Betty C. Olsen in Watertown, South Dakota.  He was employed with Minnesota Electric Supply Company for 31 years, retiring in 1997.  Jerry and Betty lived in Marshall until his retirement.

Jerry was very involved with the Eagles Club, the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars and he enjoyed golfing and reading.

Those left to honor Jerry’s memory include his wife, Betty; his daughter and son-in-law, Michelle & Brian Glasz of DeWitt, Iowa; his grandchildren, Derek (Alyssa) Henscheid, Aaron Henscheid, Alex Henscheid and Gavin Glasz; his great-granddaughter, Jenna; his sister, Donna (Tom) Henning of Golden, Colorado; his brothers, Jim (Barb) Westberg of Letcher, South Dakota and Paul (Carol) Westberg of Spicer, Minnesota; and his sister-in-law, Char Westberg of Marshall, Minnesota.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Roy Westberg.
