Joann Kussman

Joann Kussman, 78, of Bettendorf, passed away Thursday August 15, 2013 at Riverview Manor in Pleasant Valley.  Per her wishes cremation rites have been accorded.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday August 24, 2013 at Crossroads Independent Baptist Church in Davenport.

Joann was born September 27, 1934 in Cozad, Nebraska, the daughter of Charles and Freida (Corner) Morrman.  In 1953 she united in marriage to Robert Kussman in Rock Island, IL.  He preceded her in death July 12, 2013.

Joann was a house wife, and enjoyed taking care of her family any way she could.  She listened to the Gaither Band and watched a lot of Church shows on TV.  Joann also kept herself busy by doing word searches and reading Steven King novels.  Her favorite activity was watching the show Days of Our Lives, and she never missed an episode.

Those left to honor her memory include her two daughters Etta (Michael) Tracy of Bettendorf and Terri (Stewart) Burkamper of Muscatine, IA; two sons Robert (Patsy) Kussman of Moline, IL and Bill Kussman of Bettendorf; eight grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; brother Harvey Morrman; sister-in-law Cricket Kussman; very special friend Mrs. Adams; and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Kussman; her parents; three sisters: Lois, Beverly, and Mary; brother Bill; daughter Suzann, and her best friend Betty.
