Joann Shadrick

JoAnn Shadrick, 78, a resident of LeClaire, Iowa died on Wednesday, August 4, 2010 at Manor Care Utica Ridge in Davenport, Iowa.
An Eastern Star service will be held for her at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, August 9, 2010 at the McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Chapel in Bettendorf, Iowa. The family will greet friends from 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Burial will be private. Memorials may be made to the Order of the Eastern Star, Silver Creek Chapter 302 in LeClaire where she was a member for nearly 50 years.
She was born October 12, 1931 in Barnes City, Iowa the daughter of Vincent & Wilma (Holland) Grubb. On December 23, 1950, she was united in marriage to Olan J. Shadrick in LeClaire. He preceded her in death on February 11, 2005.
JoAnn was a devoted homemaker, wife, mom & grandma who enjoyed geneology and quilting.
Those left to honor her memory include her children, Shirli Jo Poynter of LeClaire, Paige (Jim) Tague of LeClaire, Vince (Marisa) Shadrick of Redding, California, Bonnie (Mike) Laws of LeClaire, Larry (Mary) Shadrick of Camdenton, Missouri and Donna (Ron) Rourke of Eldon, Missouri; twelve grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; her sister, Rheta (Jake) VanDorn of Garfield, Arkansas; and her brothers, Robert Grubb of LeClaire and John (Joan) Grubb of Frazier Park, California.
