Jodi D. Smith

Jodi D. Smith, 44, a resident of Davenport, Iowa died on Saturday, January 26, 2008 at the Midwest Regional Cancer Center in Zion, Illinois.
Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, January 29, 2008 at the McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Chapel in Bettendorf, Iowa. Burial will be private. Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Monday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the family.
She was born June 13, 1963 in Davenport, the daughter of Donald H. & Donna L. (Makepeace) Goldermann, was a 1981 graduate of Bettendorf High School and a member of the Central Church of Christ of Davenport.. On June 12, 1987, she was united in marriage to Mike K. Smith in Bettendorf.
Jodi was a registered nail technician in Bettendorf and in Davenport. In later years, she managed the Java Station, LLC on Main St. in Davenport.
She enjoyed working with children and coaching soccer. Being with her beloved family was the center of her life and her memory will always remain in their hearts.
Those left to honor her memory include her husband, Mike; her daughters, Dani Smith and Abby Jo Smith, both of Davenport; her sons, Chris Smith and John Smith, both of Milan, Missouri; her twin granddaughters, Carlee & Melaynie Smith; her sister, Sue (Bill) Reed of Pendleton, Kentucky; her brother, Donald Todd Goldermann of Bettendorf; her parents, Donald & Donna Goldermann of Bettendorf; her grandmother, Esther (Makepeace) Goodnight of Bettendorf; and a very special little boy, Kairen Loggins of Davenport.
