John J. Kautz, 68, a resident of LeClaire, Iowa died on Sunday, December 5, 2010 at his home.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, December 23, 2010 at the Rock Island National Cemetery. Those wishing to attend his service should meet at the McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf, Iowa at 1:30 P.M. There will be no visitation. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
He was born February 25, 1942 in Davenport, Iowa the son of Louis Albert & Evelyn Irene (Barry) Kautz.
John served in the U.S. Army during the Viet Nam Conflict and was honorably discharged in 1967.
Those left to honor his memory include his sisters, Mary Boshart of Covington, Louisiana and Karen Duda of Austin, Texas.
