John L. Baker, 42, of Davenport, died Thursday, February 9, 2012 at his home.
There will be no services at this time. Memorials can be made to Alcoholics Anonymous and mailed to the funeral home. McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf is assisting the family with arrangements.
John was born in Phoenix, AZ on February 17, 1969, the son of John “Jack” Warren and Grace (Terrill) Baker. He graduated from Western Illinois University with his associate’s degree. John worked as a tax preparer for H&R Block.
John loved animals and spending time with his family. He enjoyed camping, hiking, video games, watching movies and had a great sense of humor.
Those left to honor his memory include: three sisters, Elizabeth A. (Greg) Toland ofOneida, IL, Kim Cummings of Davenport and Tammy (Wally) Cale of Bettendorf; one brother, Mike (Amy) Baker of Chillicothe, OH; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
