John A. "Scotty" Scott

John A. “Scotty” Scott, 75, a resident of Davenport, Iowa died on Monday, October 8, 2006 at his home.
A memorial service Scotty will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, October 15, 2007 at the McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Chapel in Bettendorf, Iowa.
He was born June 17, 1932 in Dubuque, Iowa, the son of Charles & Otillie (Ladenberger) Scott. On May 27, 1961, he was united in marriage to Patricia M. Mengis in Dubuque. She preceded him in death on November 10, 2002.
Scotty was employed as a union painter in Dubuque for many years. He played stand-up bass, sang & enjoyed country music and in his spare time, loved to go hunting & fishing.
Those left to honor his memory include his daughter, Virginia (William) Gillespie of Davenport; his step-son, Lynn (Margaret) Scott of Scottsdale, Arizona; his grandchildren, Angela, Felicia & Dustin; his great-grandchildren, Tabitha, Sabrina, Samantha & Hunter; his sisters, Lee (Russell) Sickles of Wapiti, Wyoming and Carm Yeager of Dubuque; and his brothers, Charles (Jan) Scott and Bob Scott, all of Dubuque.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents and a great-grandson, Stewart.
