Johnny D. Sawvell, 38, of Davenport, Iowa, died Thursday, February 19, 2015 at Genesis Medical Center, East Campus in Davenport.
A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, February 27, 2015 at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf, Iowa. Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the services on Friday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the family to help with unexpected expenses.
Johnny was born February 7, 1977 in Denver, Colorado, the son of Robert Stedman and Sharon Wright. He was employed as Director of Maintenance with Wenger Trucking in Davenport.
Those left to honor his memory include his fiancé, Sarah Brown, of Davenport; his sons, Alexander Sawvell of Davenport and Oscar Sawvell of Rock Island, Illinois; his step-daughter, Violet Benefield of Rock Island; his step-father, Robert Stedman of Davenport; his aunts Susan Rademacher, Violet Wright and Terri (John) Wright, all of Colorado, Melody (Randy) Brumage of Montana, Annie Wright of Texas; and his grandmother, Jean Wright of Colorado.
Johnny was preceded in death by his mother.
