John W. Mallette

John Wayne Mallette, 66, a resident of Bettendorf, Iowa died on Wednesday, January 30, 2008 at his home.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, February 2, 2008 at the McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Chapel in Bettendorf. Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. to 10:00 A.M. Saturday at the funeral home.
He was born August 13, 1941 in Liberty, Missouri, the son of Frank & Agnes (Stewart) Mallette. On February 9, 1962, he married Carol Anders in Davenport, Iowa.
John was a self-employed salesman and musician. He played in the Riverviewers band for many years and later in a Latin-American band and also a Mariachi band. John’s passion in life was his family and his music.
Those left to honor his memory include his daughters, Michelle Mallette of Davenport, Monica Ritter of Bettendorf, Makenzie Mallette of Princeton and Tammy Overton of Davenport; grandchildren, Nikki, Dezaray, Ben, Tony, Amanda, Vanessa, Robby, Franki Lea, Alissia, Navah, Bobby, Xavier, Isiah & Anthony; great-grandchildren, Johnny, Kathryn & Zachary; his brother, Joseph Ronald Mallette in Mississippi; and his special friend, Margaret Overton of Davenport.
Eight sisters & brothers preceded him in death, as well as his parents.
