Jonii was born March 23, 1941 in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Walter and Greta (Anderson) Radom. She graduated from Academy of Our Lady in Chicago in 1959. She was united in marriage to Stephen Patterson in September of 1969 in Chicago. They later divorced after 24 years of marriage.
Jonii worked as a flight attendant for American Airlines from 1962 until she retired in 2006. Her work was the passion of her life. She found true enjoyment traveling the world with co-workers who were also life long friends.
She volunteered through M.A.C. ( Military Air Command) to fly troops into and out of war zones during Vietnam, Desert Strom and Operation Iraqi Freedom. She was a very patriotic woman. Jonii also volunteered her services flying families for The Ronald McDonald House Charity in the early 1980’s.
Jonii loved to travel and has visited most everywhere in the world. The only place she was still hoping to visit was Antarctica. Jonii somehow found a way to circle the globe while never missing out on the important things at home. She enjoyed spending time with her family and loved her grandchildren greatly,
Those left to honor her memory include her daughter, Misha (Michael) Carlson of Moline; Her son, Tyler (Amber Miller) Patterson of Rock Island; her three grandchildren, Miranda, Garrett and Gracie; her brother, Richard (Shirley) Radom; her niece, Alexis and her nephew, Michael.
She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents, Gus and Hilder Anderson.
The family would like to sincerely thank all of those who showed their unwavering love and support through the last few years, as well as Genesis VNS Hospice for all of their support and help; especially Sandy Carlton, Sandy Jacobson, Dottie, Jacki and Jody.
