Joy Collins

Joy Lynne Collins, 73, a resident of Buffalo, passed away Thursday, April 16, 2015 at the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House in Bettendorf.
A memorial service celebrating her life will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf. Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery in Buffalo. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. -7:00 P.M. on Monday, April 20, 2015 at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society or Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House.
Born on August 1, 1941 in DeWitt, Iowa, Joy was the daughter of Kenneth and Leone (Shaw) Hollowell. She was united in marriage to Dexter Collins on December 24, 1959.
Joy was a homemaker. She enjoyed going to yard sales, the Goodwill store, gardening and cherished her time spent with her grandchildren.
Those left to honor her memory include her husband, Dexter Collins of Buffalo, Iowa; daughter, Rhonda (Ronald Lopez) Collins of Buffalo, two sons, Michael (Kathy) Collins of McAlester, Oklahoma, Ronald (Cassie Osbourne) Collins of Muscatine, Iowa; four grandchildren, Ashley and Samuel Hutchison and Jonathan and Gregory Collins; four Great-Grandchildren, Quentin, Kelvin, Thaydin, and Beckhim; three nephews, Kurt, Kris, and Ken.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Bonnie.
