Judith K. Mccallister

d. July 20, 2008

Judith K. McCallister, 63, of Davenport, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Sunday, July 20, 2008 at Genesis Medical Center, West Campus, Davenport, after a lengthy illness.
Funeral services will be private. Judy’s family requests that contributions in her memory may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Judy was born May 1, 1945 in Quincy, Illinois, the daughter of Charles & Virginia (Robertson) Ebberson. She was a graduate of Davenport West High School. On April 10, 1962, she was united in marriage to Mikeal McCallister in Rock Island, Illinois.
Judy was a homemaker who made a house a home. Any given Sunday could bring several of our families and friends together. She would cook for all, sharing food, laughter, and love.
She had a passion for gardening and spent hours outside enjoying the sun and her flowers. She would have her hair and nails done and wouldn't hesitate to go out and mow the acreage. She was a well rounded girl, pretty and handy too.
Judy had a sense of humor that could light the darkest days. She was always there to lift you up with a good joke. She blessed us with humor until her last hours. She loved us well, as we did her. We will miss her greatly.
Those left to honor her memory include her husband, Mikeal; her daughters, Teresa Hanshew of Orlando, Florida and Brenda (Terry) Logsdon, of Davenport; her sons Joseph McCallister and Kevin (Christina) McCallister, both of Davenport; 10 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; her sister, Charlotte (Howard) Logsdon, of Bettendorf; her brother, Louis (Mary) Ebberson of Davenport; and several nieces and nephews.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Merle Ebberson; and one great-grandchild.
