Julie was born August 19, 1987 in Rock Island, Illinois, the daughter of Bradley D. & Patricia A. (DeSchinckel) Whitesell. She was a 2005 graduate of North Scott High School, where she sang in choir, played the flute in band and participated in the Color Guard in the marching band. She earned her Associate's Degree from Scott Community College and was currently working towards her B.A. from the University of Iowa.
Julie had a bright & promising future with Mid-American Energy Company, where she had recently completed a vigorous training program and was looking forward to being a customer service representative. Julie was very proud of the fact that she was making a successful career for herself so that her & her beautiful son Cameron could live a wonderful life together. Julie was a wonderful mom.
She was very proud of her "little prince" Cameron and would often take him to the mini- park in Dixon to play. She loved talking about him and adored teaching Cameron how to walk & talk, and potty training him. He is everything to Julie. Julie loved computers & technology. She would spend many sleepless nights spending time on Facebook & catching up with her friends and family. She loved shopping. She would always look forward to her annual Christmas shopping trip to Chicago with her mom, Pat.
Julie loved her friends. She was always giving excellent advice and helped many of her friends work through their tough situations. Julie's words were very significant. She had a way of warming people's hearts. She inspired others through her thoughts and actions. She truly touched the lives of many people. She was very full of life & determined not to let the world get her down. Just like her closet, Julie was a sparkly, bright, beautiful young woman who will be deeply missed by all.
Those left to honor her memory include her son, Cameron; her parents, Brad & Pat; and her brother, Jeremy, all at home; her grandmother, Doris Whitesell of Rock Island; her aunts & uncles, Alan (Joann) DeSchinckel of Rock Island, Robert (Sandy) DeSchinckel of Rock Island, William (Kathy) DeSchinckel of Davenport, Ruth Whitesell of Rock Island and David (Sandy) Whitesell of Rock Island; and several cousins whom were very close to Julie.
