Juna Lea Douglas, 61, a resident of Bettendorf, Iowa died on Wednesday, February 8, 2012 at her home following an extended illness.
Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, February 12, 2012 at the McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Chapel in Bettendorf. Burial will be private. Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
She was born May 2, 1950 in Moline, Illinois, the daughter of Paul & Bernadine (Williams) Randles. On February 13, 1971, she was united in marriage to David L. Douglas in Moline.
Juna was an accomplished quilter and was a member of the Mississippi Valley Quilters Guild and the Muscatine Quilters Guild. She loved quilting for her family and especially enjoyed the times spent with her beloved grandchildren and great-granddaughter.
Those left to honor her memory include her husband, David; her daughter, Amanda (Nate) Cauwels of LeClaire, Iowa; her son, Chad (Elissa) Douglas of Davenport, Iowa; her grandchildren, Holly, Mitchell, Alyssa, Arianna & Adalynn; her step-granddaughter, Cassie; her great-granddaughter, Nikaya; her sisters, Paula (Bill) York of Moline and Marie (Gary) Marsh in Kentucky; her brother, Joseph Randles of Coal Valley, Illinois; and numerous nieces & nephews.
Juna was preceded in death by her sisters, Melvia Hubbard and Beverly Sweeney; and by her parents.
