June Roberts

June C. Hill Roberts, 86, of Davenport, died Thursday, February 12, 2015 at her home.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m., Monday, February 16, 2015 at the McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Chapel in Bettendorf.  Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the services Monday at the funeral home.  Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park.  Memorials may be made to the family.

June Catherine Keenan was born June 28, 1928 in Bettendorf, the daughter of Acel Marion Keenan and Lillian Dorothea (Knab) Keenan.  She was the 8th of thirteen children; eleven sisters and one brother.  She was united in marriage to Harold Adam Hill in Lancaster, Missouri on November 10, 1943.  He preceded her in death in 1965.  She was later united in marriage to Bill Jo Roberts in Rock Island, Illinois on April 2, 1973.  He preceded her in death in 2003.

June was the mother of nine children, Harold Adam (Pat) Hill, Jr, June Kathryn Hill (Leon) Gailbraith, Larry Schumaker, Joann Joyce Hill (Kenneth) Harris (Lawrence) Schumaker, all of Davenport, Jeanette Lee Hill (Wayne) Nelson, of Portland, Tennessee, Leona Sue Hill (Melvin) Schmidt, Shirley Mae Hill (Dan) Sager, Linda Kay Ross Gallo, Dan LeRoy (Sandy) Hill and Rick Allen (Linda) Hill, all of Davenport, Bill Roberts, Sheryl Roberts, Vicki Roberts, Rita Roberts, Lee Roberts, Frank Roberts and Kenny Roberts; 41 grandchildren; 92 great-grandchildren; 28 great-great grandchildren; and her sisters, Cecilia Cashmire of New Hampshire and Sharon Spoelstra of California.

In addition to her husbands, Harold and Bill; June was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter June Kathryn, her sons-in-law, Kenneth Harris, Lawrence Schumaker and Melvin Schmidt; 2 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; ten sisters; and one brother.
