Karen K. Agan, 74, a resident of Davenport, died Monday, September 18, 2017 at her home.
Funeral services celebrating her life will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 21, 2017 at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf. Burial will be at Walcott Cemetery in Walcott. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services on Thursday. Memorials may be made to the family.
Born on December 26, 1942 in Ottumwa, Iowa, Karen was the daughter of Louis and Margaret (McCoy) Roe. On June 6, 1959 in Ottumwa, she married Charles L. “Charley” Agan. He preceded her in death on December 25, 2014.
Karen held various jobs throughout her life. Her main joy in life was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed shopping and cooking. Thanksgiving was one of her favorite holidays. Karen was an avid Chicago Cubs and Iowa Hawkeye fan. Karen had a renewed faith in Jesus, dedicating more time to her relationship with the Lord.
Those left to honor her memory include her daughters, Debbie (Troy) Harmel of Walcott and Candy (Robert) Appleby of Davenport; seven grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren; siblings, Linda (Bill) Hoffman, Sherry (Steven) Lee, and Jerry (Terri) Roe, all of Ottumwa; and a sister-in-law, Roberta Roe of Ottumwa.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; son, Rickey Agan; daughter, Tina Zavala; and a brother, Louis Roe, Jr.
