Karen S. Giese

Karen S. Giese, 73, of Coal Valley, Illinois passed away on Friday, December 6, 2024 at Allure in Moline. 

Per her wishes, cremation rites have been accorded and there will be no public services. McGinnis-Chambers Funeral home is assisting the family with arrangements. 

Karen was born on August 17, 1951 in Washington, the daughter of Claude and Isabelle Osborn. Prior to her retirement in 2016, she worked in assembly at Sears Manufacturing for 39 years. Karen liked trying new recipes from cooking shows and enjoyed watching Walker Texas Ranger. She was known for her wonderful cooking, delicious desserts, as well as her devotion and love for family.  

Those left to honor her memory are her sons, Steve (Shari) Hahn of Davenport, Michael (Mignon) Hahn of Davenport, and Jason (Karen) Geise of Moline; nine grandchildren, Abigail Hahn, Karah (Michael Sr.) Tygart, Michael Hahn Jr., Devon (Laelle) Hahn, Kelsey Giese, Lewanna Woolley, Luke Hahn, Landen Giese, and Avery Giese; and four great-grandchildren, Michael Tygart Jr., Bentley Tygart, Giomi Hahn, and Navina Hahn. 

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Linda.
