Kay Benson

Kay F. Benson, 74, of LeClaire, Iowa, passed away on Monday, July 24, 2017 at UnityPoint Health Trinity in Bettendorf, Iowa.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Friday, July 28, 2017 at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Glendale Cemetery in LeClaire. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Our Savior Presbyterian Church in Argo, Iowa, where Kay was a life-long member.
Kay was born June 7, 1943 in Davenport, Iowa, a daughter of Glen & Lorene (Auliff) Veatch. She was united in marriage to Gary B. Benson on May 30, 1965 at Our Savior Presbyterian Church.
Kay had worked in earlier years with Review Printing in Rock Island.
Those left to honor her memory include her husband, Gary; her sons, Robert and David Benson of LeClaire; her mother, Lorene Veatch of LeClaire; her sister and brother-in-law, Gail & Ernest Brooks of Prophetstown, Illinois; her brother and sister-in-law, Richard & Susie Veatch of Granby, Colorado; and several nieces and nephews.
Kay was preceded in death by her father; and her brother, Glen Veatch Jr.
