Keith E. Yost

Keith E. Yost, 77, of Park View, Iowa, died Monday, December 5, 2005 at
Maui Memorial Medical Center in Wailuku, Hawaii.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, December 10, 2005 at Chambers Funeral Home, Eldridge. The family will greet friends from 9:00 A.M. until the time of the service on Saturday. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
Keith was born June 3, 1928 in Miller, South Dakota, the son of Willard and Ruth
(Arbogast) Yost. He was united in marriage to Lois E. Hackett on June 1, 1955
in Miller.
Keith served in the United States Navy from 1950 to 1953. He was a 1957
graduate of South Dakota State College where he earned a degree in electrical
engineering. During his career, Keith worked for several aircraft and missile
companies including Lockhead Aircraft, Chrysler Missile, RCA and Northrup. The
last 25 years of his career were spent working for the United States Government in Sioux
City, Iowa and the Quad Cities. He permanently retired in 1991 from the Rock
Island Arsenal in Rock Island, Illinois.
Keith enjoyed woodworking and he was an avid bowler and golfer.
Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Lois; his daughter, Ann Riggs
and her fiancé, John Longoria of Victoria, Texas; his son and daughter-in-law,
Patrick and Karen Yost, of Park View; his son Lyle Yost, of St. Louis, Missouri;
thirteen grandchildren; his sister and brother-in-law, Delores & Larry Danburg,
of Miller; and his brothers and sisters-in-law, Neil and Sharon Yost, of Miller,
and Jerry and Sharon Yost, of Glastonbury, Connecticut.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Cleone; and his brothers Gene and Lyle.
