Kenneth C. Garrison

Kenneth C. Garrison, 77, of Davenport, Iowa, died Thursday, December 11, 2008 at Trinity Pathway Hospice, Rock Island, Illinois.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Monday, December 15, 2008 at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home, Bettendorf. Visitation will be from 2:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park.
Ken was born June 28, 1931 in Flint, Michigan, the son of Max E. & Dorothy C. (Howell) Garrison. He was united in marriage to Aleene McLeese. She preceded him in death. He later was united in marriage to Margaret “Maggie” Sellers on March 15, 1958 in Unionville, Iowa.
Ken had been employed for 41 years as a customer service representative at General Electric in Eldridge. He was an avid bowler and was past president of the Davenport Bowling Association. He was also a fan of the Iowa Hawkeyes. Ken will be remembered as a super husband, father, and grandfather. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He will be dearly missed.
Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Maggie; his daughters, Cheryl (Todd) Terrell, of Lynn Center, Illinois and Vicki (John Wilde) Garrison of Rock Island; his son, Hal (Kennecia) Garrison, of Norman, Oklahoma; his grandchildren, Maranda Klauer, of Lynn Center, Kimberly (Allen) Ricketson, of Norman, and Rachel Klauer, Kelsey Terrell, Katie Wilde and John Wilde, all of Rock Island; his brother, Robert (Dorothy) Garrison, of Davenport; his uncle, Don (Marian) Michell, of Muskegon, Michigan; his niece and nephew, Roxanne Carlson and Bobby Garrison, both of Davenport; and a host of nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.
In addition to his first wife, Aleene; Ken was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Harold.
