Kenneth L. “Lee” Lichtenberg Jr., 58, a resident of rural Blue Grass, Iowa died Wednesday, January 21, 2004 at his home.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 P.M. Saturday, January 24, 2004 at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Chapel, Bettendorf. Burial will be in Blue Grass Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
Lee was born February 6, 1945 in Storm Lake, Iowa, the son of Kenneth L. & Lillian (Smith) Lichtenberg Sr. He was united in marriage to Kay Witt in Storm Lake on March 6, 1964. He later was united in marriage to Betty Huisman in Story City, Iowa on October 6, 1979
He was employed as a mechanic for Blackhawk Foundry in Davenport.
Among the things he enjoyed were model railroading, restoration & repair of automobiles, reading and playing euchre with his family & friends. He had attended Iowa State University and was an avid fan of the Cyclones.
Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Betty; his daughters & sons-in-law, Kari & Dave Folkedahl of Iowa City, Iowa, Kaylee & Jeff Hildreth of Stockbridge, Wisconsin and Elizabeth Lichtenberg of Blue Grass; his son & daughter-in-law, Kreg & Tami Lichtenberg of Duluth, Minnesota; his grandchildren, Alexa, Luke, Brianne, Jacob, Vincent & Gabriel; his father, Kenneth L. Lichtenberg Sr. of Mesa, Arizona; his sister & brother-in-law, Linda & Mike Jones of Tempe, Arizona; his brother & sister-in-law, Brian & Vicky Lichtenberg of Cleveland, Tennessee; his aunts, Evelyn Anderson and Bonita Wolf; his uncles, John Smith and Harold Smith; six nieces; and two nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother; and by an infant niece.
