Kevin Lee Turner, 49, a resident of Davenport, Iowa died on Wednesday, March 4, 2009 after a motorcycle accident.
A service to celebrate his life will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, March 9, 2009 at the New Life Southern Baptist Church, 7780 W. Locust St. in Davenport. A luncheon will immediately follow the service at the church to which all are invited. Following the luncheon, a memorial procession of motorcycles will begin at the church and proceed to Davenport Memorial Park where Kevin�s inurnment will take place at a later date. All motorcycle enthusiasts are encouraged to attend. McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home of Bettendorf, Iowa is assisting the family with arrangements.
He was born June 1, 1959 in Clinton, Iowa and was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Kevin was an accomplished mechanic who could repair virtually anything. He loved his motorcycle, enjoyed fishing and was a true outdoorsman. Spending time with his family and friends were important to Kevin as well as the times spent with his beloved granddaughter, Chloebelle. He was dearly loved by his entire family and will be sadly missed by all.
Those left to honor his memory include his loving children, Casey Turner of Delmar, Iowa & her companion, Kyle Fausey and Ryan Turner of Davenport; his granddaughter, Chloebelle who absolutely adored her �Papa;� the mother of his children, Dawn of Davenport; his parents, Betty & Sherman Guenzler of Chadwick, Illinois; his sister, Tina (Eric) Sigel of Lanark, Illinois; his brothers, Jerry (Colleen) Turner and Glenn (Sue) Turner, all of Manchester, New Hampshire; his sister-in-law, Joy Turner of Davenport; his step-brothers, Jeffrey (Beth) Guenzler of Aurora, Illinois, Michael (Rina) Guenzler of Port Orchard, Washington and Brian (Amy) Guenzler of Nauvoo, Alabama; and many beloved nieces, nephews and wonderful friends.
His brother, Guy Turner preceded Kevin in death in 2007.
