Kimberly Joann Sanders, 56, of Bettendorf, died Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at UnityPoint Trinity Bettendorf.
A memorial gathering will be held from 12 Noon – 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, December 15, 2013 at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf. Memorials may be made to the family.
Born on March 15, 1957 in Hammond, IN, Kim was the daughter of John Kipping and Jean Ehredt. On July 12, 1983 in Rock Island, she married Stephen Sanders.
Kim worked as a cake decorator at Hy-Vee and held various other jobs. She enjoyed watching the Food Network on television. Kim cherished time spent with family, especially her grandchildren.
Those left to honor her memory include her husband, Stephen; sons, Stephen (Lauren) Sanders of Springfield, MO and Brett Sanders of Bettendorf; grandchildren, Donald, Thomas and Marley; sisters, Theresa “Tracy” (John) Hansen of Milan and Julie (Alex Hendricksen) Rottman of Bettendorf; brothers, John (Margie) Kipping, Jr. of Chesapeake, OH, David Ward of Morrison, IL, Larry Cook of Rock Island and Howard Cook of Tennessee; brothers-in-law, Gerald and Philip Sanders; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Marie Kline; and several aunts and uncles.
