Larry George Little, 76, a life-long resident of Princeton, Iowa died on Thursday, May 2, 2013 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Visitation will be from 3:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. on Sunday, May 5, 2013 at the McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home of Bettendorf.  Private family graveside services will be held on Monday at Salem Lutheran Cemetery in rural Princeton.  Memorials may be made to Genesis Hospice.

Larry was born January 1, 1937 to George & Pearl (Soltau) Little in Princeton and attended schools in the Princeton area.  On October 15, 1955, he married LaVonne Schafer at Trinity Lutheran Church in Davenport, Iowa.

In his early years, Larry worked as a bricklayer for Dean Fry Construction of Davenport.  In 1961, Larry & LaVonne moved to the family farm where they have enjoyed their life of farming for the last 52 years.

Larry enjoyed going to auctions, hunting, fishing, attending sprint car races and most of all farming and raising cattle.  He especially treasured the time he spent with his grandchildren.

Larry is survived and lovingly remembered by his wife, LaVonne and their children, Kim Fitzgerald, Robin (Kathy) Little, Greg Little and Rodney Little, all of Princeton and Amy (Mike) Groenenboom of Bettendorf; eight grandchildren, Carrie Parrott, Matt Fitzgerald, Brittany Little, Madeline Little, Brett & Kelli Little and Lauren & Ryan Groenenboom; four great-grandchildren, Dylan & Elizabeth Parrott and Madison & Riley Fitzgerald; and many other relatives and wonderful friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Glenn, Wayne and Dean; and his uncle, Jack Little.
