Larry W. Hessen

Larry W. Hessen, 71, a resident of Gilbert, Arizona and formerly of Seattle, Washington and Bettendorf, Iowa died Thursday, November 25, 2004 at the Rapha Clinic in Tijuana, Mexico.
Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Thursday, December 2, 2004 at the McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home, Bettendorf. Private family services and interment will be Friday. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
He was born September 2, 1933 in Seattle, Washington, the son of Hjalmer & Pauline (LaRue) Hessen. On August 31, 1955, he was united in marriage to Ann Ohanesian in Rock Island, Illinois.
Larry retired from the Parts Distribution Department of the Boeing Corporation in Seattle. In earlier years, he had worked at Alcoa Company and at Wonder Bread, both in the Quad-Cities.
Among the things he enjoyed were fishing, caring for his yard & garden and traveling.
Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Ann; his son & daughter-in-law, Rocky & Sharon Hessen of Gilbert, Arizona; three grandchildren; his sister Paulette of Pueblo, Colorado; and his brother, Leslie of Mesa, Arizona.
Larry was preceded in death by his brother, Lowell; his parents; and his parents-in-law, Moses & Susie Ohanesian, long-time Bettendorf residents.
