Laura D. Hennings

Laura D. Hennings, 92, a resident of Ridgecrest Retirement Village in Davenport, Iowa and formerly of Bettendorf, Iowa died on Tuesday, January 09, 2007 at Crest Health Center.
Her funeral service will be held at 12:00 P.M. Friday, January 12, 2007 at the Bettendorf Presbyterian Church where she was a life-time member. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. Friday at the church. Memorials may be made to Bettendorf Presbyterian Church.
She was born January 19, 1914 in Davenport, the daughter of Emil H. & Amanda W. (Linder) Schroeder. On October 11, 1947, she was united in marriage to Louis G. Hennings in Bettendorf. He preceded her in death on April 25, 1985.
Laura was a homemaker and in earlier years, taught school at the former Forest Grove School in Bettendorf.
She loved to quilt and enjoyed doing crafts as well.
Those left to honor her memory include her daughter, Frances J. (Michael) Welsh of Rockford, Illinois; her sons, Rodger C. Hennings of Moline, Illinois and Robert L. (Margaret) Hennings of Davenport; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Loretta Lisby.
