Lauretta M. Houts, a resident of Bettendorf, Iowa died Monday, December 13, 2004 at her home.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, December 17, 2004 at Oakwood Cemetery, Geneseo, Illinois. There will be no visitation. Memorials may be made to the Shriner’s Hospitals for Children, 2211 N. Oak Park Ave., Chicago, IL 60707. McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home, Bettendorf, Iowa is assisting the family with arrangements.
She was born in Geneseo and in early years, was employed at Jostens in Princeton, Illinois. In later years, she worked at the John Deere Administrative Center in Moline, Illinois, retiring after 21 years of employment.
Lauretta was a former member & officer of the Geneseo Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star and enjoyed doing volunteer work at the Iowa Masonic Health Facility in Bettendorf. She enjoyed flowers and caring for her home & yard.
She married Bennett Houts March 1, 1991. He preceded her in death.
Survivors include her son, Roger Weber of Geneseo.
