LaVerne E. Wriedt, 77, a resident of Davenport, Iowa died on Monday, January 17, 2011 at his home.
Services will be private.
He was born December 15, 1933 in Davenport, Iowa, the son of Elmer E. & Edna Louise (Schluensen) Wriedt. On November 9, 1982 he was united in marriage to Heeja Cho in Seoul, Korea.
LaVerne was self-employed in the specialty advertising business.
During his high school and college days, he was a member of the wrestling teams. He graduated from Augustana College in Rock Island, Illinois with a degree in history.
LaVerne was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and was stationed in Korea during the Korean Conflict.
Those left to honor his memory include his beloved wife, Heeja; his sons, LaVerne, Michael & Brian; and several grandchildren.
His sisters, Mildred, Dorothy & Evelyn preceded him in death.
