Lavonne Sanders

LaVonne E. Sanders, 80, of Panorama Park, died Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at Trinity Bettendorf.
A memorial service will be held at 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf. Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. until the time of services on Wednesday. The family requests that memorials be made to the donor’s local animal shelter.
Born on February 25, 1932 in Davenport, she was the daughter of Julius and Ethel (Vogt) Shultz. In June of 1960, she married Robert M. Sanders.
LaVonne graduated from Scott Community College and was a licensed practical nurse. She worked at Riverview Manor in Pleasant Valley for over 15 years. LaVonne enjoyed crossword puzzles, word searches, gardening, birds and animals. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Those left to honor her memory include her husband, Robert M. Sanders; three sons, James A. (Debbie) Sanders of Bettendorf, Richard (Bernadette) Sanders of Salinas, California and Robert Sanders of Sarasota, Florida; one daughter, Susan (Jeff) Pollock of Denver, Colorado; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Lou Schulz of Milan and Shirley Hite of Chattanooga, Tennessee; two brothers, George (Beverly) Schulz of Alamo, Texas and Richard Schulz of Knoxville, Tennessee.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Harold; and two sisters, Betty & Ruth.
