Lawrence Edwin “Beano” Carr, 49, a resident of Promise City, Iowa and formerly of LeClaire, Iowa passed away peacefully in his sleep on Tuesday, December 13, 2011 in Corydon, Iowa.
Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Friday, December 16, 2011 at the McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home of Bettendorf. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday at Jacks Cemetery in rural LeClaire. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
He was born May 20, 1962 in Onida, South Dakota, the son of Edwin Dean & Eva Christina (Phares) Carr.
Beano worked as a young man at Omar Printing in LeClaire and for many years for A & S Tool & Manufacturing in Bettendorf, Iowa.
He enjoyed every moment spent with his nieces & nephews hunting, fishing, playing cards and teasing them. He spent his life hunting for deer, turkey,k mushrooms and artificts with family & his many friends and buddies. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to Ed Jewell for his many miles. You are a true blessing.
Those grateful to have shared in his life were his mother, Chris Carr of Promise City; one brother, Lenard Dean (Lisa) Carr of Walcott, Iowa; five sisters, Laurie Ann (Donnie) Ellison of Centerville, Iowa, Lila Diane (Rodney) Aubuchon of Centerville, Lucinda Marie Carr of Seymour, Iowa, Louise Lorraine “Dutsi” (Jay) Allbee of LeClaire and Libby Renee (Tony) Ahlf of LeClaire; and many nieces, nephews and wonderful friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Edwin; his grandparents; and a niece.
