Lena L. Reinier

Lena L. Reinier, 88, a resident of Bettendorf, Iowa died on Monday, July 19, 2010 at the Iowa Masonic Health Facility in Bettendorf
Funeral services will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, July 22, 2010 at First Baptist Church in Bettendorf. Visitation will be held from 6:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Thursday at the church.
An additional service will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, July 23, 2010 at the Holm Funeral Home in Sigourney, Iowa. Burial will be in Rock Creek Cemetery, Ollie, Iowa. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church. Bettendorf. McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home, Bettendorf, is assisting the family with arrangements.
Lena was born August 25, 1921 in Ollie, the daughter of David Leslie & Helen Marie (Day) Seevers. On July 4, 1946, she was united in marriage to Leland G. Reinier. He preceded her in death on June 4, 2010.
Lena was retired as a schoolteacher where she had taught in Martinburg, Ollie and Sigourney. She spent many hours volunteering for her church and for the Iowa Masonic Home, where she also employed. She also enjoyed gardening.
Those left to honor her memory include her daughter, Carol A. (Norman) Sandberg, LeClaire, Iowa; her son, Donald (Barbara) Reinier, Blue Grass, Iowa; her grandchildren, Luke (Jenny) Sandberg, Joseph Sandberg and Brett Reinier and her brother, Dean Seevers of Loveland, Colorado.
She was preceded in death by her parents, David & Helen; and her brother, Jimmy Seevers.
