Lenice E. Arnce, 92, of Bettendorf, died Saturday, September 3, 2011 at Bettendorf Health Care Center.
There will be graveside services and burial in Meehan, Wisconsin at a later date.
Lenice was born May 14, 1919 in Meehan, the daughter of Jacob & Vilara (Fox) Galloway. She was united in marriage to Charles L. Arnce on December 6th 1941 in Mishawaka, Indiana. He preceded her in death in 1986.
Lenice was a member of the first LPN graduating class from Scott Community College. She was a visiting nurse and worked in the home health-care field into her early 80's. She always joked "I have to take care of the old people!" She had a love for taking care of her family and all those around her. She dedicated her life to serving the Lord and truly loved being involved in all church activities.
Those left to honor her memory include her daughter, Sharon Brown; her sons, Mark Arnce & Charles Arnce; her grandchildren, Eva Otte, Cathy Bartleson, Amy Kelling, Cary Brown, Jodi Arnce & Eric Arnce; eleven great-grandchildren; and seven great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings; Vilara Bell, Catherine Eastwood and Burton Galloway.
She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings Velma Hood, Cora Krueger, Clair Galloway and Earl Galloway.
