Leo Mills

Leo F. Mills, 81, of Bettendorf, Iowa passed away peacefully in his sleep on Saturday, April 22, 2017.   Per his wishes, he will be cremated and inurned at the Rock Island Arsenal National Cemetery.

Leo was born in 1936 in Ottumwa, Iowa to Gerald and Marguerite (Hoffman) Mills.  He married Beverly Zulke and she preceded him in death in 1991.

Leo had worked at the Arsenal from 1964 until his retirement in 1992.  Prior to that he had served in the Army and also worked as a baker in Des Moines and Davenport.

Over the years, Leo was active in archery, quarterscale radio controlled racing, fishing and golf.  Leo had a unique sense of humor and made many friends over the years.  He will be missed by all.

Among those left to honor his memory include his best friend, Patricia Pauley of Ingleside, Illinois.

He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents and four brothers.
