Leola M. “Lee” Lundholm, 93, of Princeton, Iowa, died Saturday, April 30, 2005 at Trinity at Terrace Park, Bettendorf. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, May 4, 2005 at Our Savior Presbyterian Church, LeClaire, Iowa, where she was a member. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Moline, Illinois. Memorials may be made to the church. McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home, Bettendorf, is assisting the family with arrangements.
Lee was born June 2, 1911 in Princeton, the daughter of Orlow R. & Clara (McConnell) Hamilton. She was a 1929 graduate of Clinton High School. Lee was united in marriage to Henry S. Lundholm in Moline in 1940. He preceded her in death in 1985. She had been employed as a cashier at the former Eagle Supermarket in Moline for 12 years and had been employed in the circulation department of the Quad-City Times for 5 years. In earlier years, she had taught school in a one room school in Princeton for 2 years.
Lee was a 50 year member of the the Edith Cavell Circle of King’s Daughters and was a 50 year member of the Moline Women’s Club.
Those left to honor her memory include her son, Robert E. Lundholm, Princeton; her grandchildren, Susan Treakle, Camanche, Iowa and Robert P. Lundholm, Peoria, Illinois; four great-grandchildren; her brother, Warren Hamilton, Princeton; and her nephews, Charles Hamilton, Winona, Minnesota, and Kenneth Hamilton, Princeton.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and a great-granddaughter, Heather, in 1996.
