Leona M. Ferguson,95, passed away Thursday, February 26, 2016, in Derby, KS.
A Celebration of Life was held at Madison Avenue United Methodist Church in Derby on Wedneday, March 2, 2016. Visitation with family present will take place on Tuesday, March 8 at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home, 644 River Dr., in Bettendorf from 12:30 to 2:00 p.m. Graveside services will be held at 2:30pm at Davenport Memorial Park in Davenport with Asbury United Methodist Church Senior Pastor Kerrin Kirkpatrick officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Asbury United Methodist Church.
Leona was born in Ashland, OH, on April 3, 1920, the first child of the late Conrad and Edith Bohl. Leona was a Bookkeeper, who along with her husband, owned and operated Ferguson Heating and Air Conditioning.
Survivors include son, Robert G (Brenda); grandsons, Robbie and Chris; great grandchildren, Briley, Aiden, and Gage; all of Derby, KS, sister, Florence (Leonard); and niece, Rachel; all of Deltona, FL.
She was
preceded in death by husband, Robert G. Ferguson Sr.; sister, Sarah; brothers, Harry and Edward.
