Levi J. Hamilton, 26, a resident of Princeton, Iowa died unexpectedly on Friday, May 19, 2006 at Genesis Medical Center, West Campus in Davenport, Iowa.
His funeral service will be held at 10:30 A.M. Wednesday, May 24, 2006 at the McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home, Bettendorf, Iowa. Burial will be in Salem Lutheran Cemetery, Princeton. Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the family.
Levi was born May 30, 1979 in Iowa City, Iowa, the son of Robert and Cathy (Meincke) Hamilton.
He was employed as a construction laborer for Hy Brand Construction in Milan, Illinois. He also helped on the family farm in Princeton during busy times.
Levi loved to spend time with family, enjoyed hunting & fishing and had a great sense of humor. Although he will be sadly missed, his memories will remain alive in the hearts of those who knew & loved him.
Those left to honor his memory include his mother & her husband, Cathy & Dan Rockwell of Rock Island, Illinois; his father & his wife, Robert & Crystal Hamilton of Princeton; his sister, Lindsay Hamilton of Princeton; his brother, Lucas Hamilton of Princeton; his grandparents, James & Carolyn Hamilton of Princeton, Betty Hamilton of Trout Creek, Michigan, Audrey & Bill Kane of Princeton, Robert York of Davenport, Iowa, Donald Rockwell of Rock Island, Tom & Roberta Behrensmeyer, of Princeton, and Sonny & Mary Faught of Bushnell, Illinois; his great-grandmother, Peg Lively Brown of LeClaire, Iowa; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and beloved friends.
Levi was preceded in death by his great-grandmother, Gladys Hamilton; his great-grandfathers, Howard Brown, Jim Lively, Raymond Hamilton, and Roland Speer; and his grandmother, Phyllis Rockwell.
