Lexia J. Cedillo, 63, of Bettendorf, died Thursday, April 8, 2010 at her home.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Monday, April 12, 2010 at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf. Visitation will be held from 2:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. on Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery in Davenport. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
Lexia was born September 20, 1946 in Ottumwa, Iowa, the daughter of Lawrence & Audrey (Major) Wilkinson. She attended school and was raised in Eldon, Iowa. On March 30, 1973, she was united in marriage to Gerald L. Cedillo in Davenport.
Lexia was employed in the Loan Department at Quad-City Bank & Trust. She was well known among her family, friends, and co-workers for her love of fun and her playful antics and stories.
Those left to honor her memory include her husband, Jerry; her daughter and son-in-law, Melissa & Israel Colon of Winter Springs, Florida; her grandson, Matthew Colon; her sisters, Kay (Howard) Lyon, of Fairfield, Iowa, Elaine (Gary) Burkamper, of Le Claire, Iowa, Becky (Chuck) Whitlock, of Atlanta, Missouri and Carmen (Rick) Baxter, of Freemont, Iowa; her brothers, Stephen Wilkinson, of Ottumwa, Iowa, John (Robin) Wilkinson, of Muscatine, Iowa, Bill (Carol) Wilkinson, of Batavia, Iowa and Tucker Wilkinson, of Eldon, Iowa; and many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
Lexia was preceded in death by her parents; and by her sister Lu Ann Sheesley.
