Lillian B. Connors, 86, of Bettendorf, passed away peacefully, with her family by her side at ManorCare, Utica Ridge, Davenport.

Funeral Services will be held at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home on Saturday, July 11th, 2015, at 10 A.M. Burial will be at Pine Hill Cemetery in Davenport.  Visitation will be on Friday, July 10th, from 4 P.M.-7 P.M. at the funeral home.  Memorials may be made to the Iowa Library for the Blind or the Scott County Humane Society.

Lillian B. Schluenz was born July 20, 1928 in Davenport, Iowa the only child of George and Wilma Schluenz.  She was united in marriage to Jack V. Connors on January 24, 1946.  After raising their six children, she worked at the Iowa Masonic Nursing Home until retiring in 1980. She had a long retirement and loved nothing more than spending time with her grandchildren. Her fondest memories are of her family and traveling, especially her trip to Ireland. She was an example of compassion and love to all around her and was never shy to lend a helping hand to those in need.  She enjoyed reading, movies, her flower gardens and attending Bible Study.

Those left to honor her memory include her daughter, Carol Beeks (Tom) of Le Claire, sons, Jack V. Connors, Jr. (Diane) of Bettendorf, Steven Connors (Sherry) of Davenport, William Connors (Ann)  of Bettendorf, Daniel Connors (Carol) of Bettendorf, Chris Connors  (Donna) of Davenport, Blaine Moline (Brenda) of Davenport, seventeen grandchildren ,  seventeen great-grandchildren and one lovingly expected in September.  She is also survived by her lifelong friend Kathy Ocheltree. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jack on December 12, 1987, two grandsons, and a great-grand daughter.
