Linda Lou Stearman, 73, a resident of LeClaire, Iowa died Thursday, July 26, 2012 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City, Iowa.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Monday, July 30, 2012 at the McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home, Bettendorf, Iowa. Visitation will be held from 2:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. on Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Glendale Cemetery, LeClaire, Iowa. Memorials may be made to the family or to the Gilda’s Club.
Linda was born July 11, 1939 in Coleta, Illinois the daughter of Doris White. She was united in marriage to Everett Donald Stearman on October 6, 1956.
Linda retired from Caterpillar Incorporated after fourteen years of service.
She enjoyed gardening, birds, especially humming birds and spending time with her family.
Those left to honor her memory include her husband, Everett “Don-X”, LeClaire; her children, Kathy (Melvin) Dodds, LeClaire, Donald (René) Stearman, LeClaire, David (Laura) Stearman, Princeton, Iowa, Dennis (Stacy) Stearman, LeClaire, Tammy (Scott) Schleisman, Bettendorf and Daniel Stearman, Edgewater, Florida; her grandchildren, Jeramy, Brittnay, Colin, Zachary, Sarah, Lucas and Drew; her mother, Doris White, Rock Falls, Illinois; her sisters, Dixie (Ron) Vegter, Morrison, Illinois and Joyce (Rich) Thomas, Albany, Illinois; her brothers, Eddie (Sue) Milligan, Rock Falls and Clay White, Rock Falls; several nieces and nephews and many loving friends.
