Linda Watson

Linda S. Watson, 73, of Bettendorf passed away on Saturday, October 16, 2021 at Genesis Medical Center – East Campus, Davenport.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home, Bettendorf.  Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. until the time of service.  Burial will be at Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery.  Memorials may be directed to the family.

Linda was born on June 28, 1948 in Davenport, Iowa the daughter of Edward and Betty (Graham) Watson.  She graduated from Bettendorf High School in 1967.  Linda worked in food service at Alcoa for 28 years, and most recently for the Bettendorf School District until her retirement.  She was an active member of the Bettendorf VFW Post 9128, and enjoyed playing euchre, crocheting, and going to the casino.

Those left to honor her memory are her sister, Sharon Joens of Bettendorf; niece, Julie Joens of Bettendorf; nephew, Todd Joens of Mishawaka, Indiana; great-nieces and nephew, Rachel Joens, Landon Long, and Kaitlyn Beach; and five great-great-nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her lifelong companion, Richard Quinones; great-nephew, Cory Joens; and her two feline fur babies, Sissy and Priscilla.

The family would like to thank Linda’s special friends and neighbors, Jerry Cedillo, Wendy Burmeister, and Nancy Arguello, for their friendship and assistance over the years.
