Linda S. Hines, 55, of Davenport, died Friday, September 15, 2006 at Genesis Medical Center-West Campus, Davenport.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Monday, September 18, 2006 at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home, Bettendorf. Visitation will be held from 2:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M., Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the family.
Linda was born November 28, 1950 in Moline, Illinois, the daughter of John & Martha (McRae) Collett. She was united in marriage to Larry L. Hines on January 28, 1967 in Rock Island, Illinois. He preceded her in death on January 14, 2004.
Linda had enjoyed bowling on Friday nights, and she loved country music, karaoke, and dancing. She will always be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Those left to honor her memory include her daughters, Sharon Bunten, of Davenport, Brenda Hines, of Park View, Iowa, Barbara Hohmann, of Eldridge, Iowa, Peggy Townley, of Davenport, and Pamela Tracy, of Davenport; her son, Larry Hines, II, of Davenport; sixteen grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; her mother, Martha Collett, of Davenport; her sisters, Patricia Richardson, of Davenport, Sandra Green, of Davenport, Judy Newton, of Bettendorf, Joann Parris, of Asheville, North Carolina, and Gloria Burrell of Davenport; and her brother, John Collett, Jr., of Davenport.
In addition to her husband, Larry, she was preceded in death by her father; and her brother, Terry Collett.
