Lois Marie Shreves, 86, a resident of McCausland, Iowa died on Friday, October 09, 2015 at her home.
A service to celebrate her life will be held at 1:00 P.M. Monday, October 12, 2015 at Chambers Funeral Home, Eldridge, Iowa. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. on Monday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Salvation Army.
She was born in Davenport, Iowa on May 21, 1929, the daughter of George Raymond and Lizzie Olive (Meyer) Isenberg. In 1947, she was united in marriage to Charles M. Shreves in Davenport. He preceded her in death on February 22, 1990.
Lois was a devoted homemaker & mother who loved gardening, going for walks, cooking and watching the Chicago Cubs. Lois had a strong faith and was a member of the North Park Church of God in Davenport.
Those left to honor her memory include her son, George (Karol) Shreves of McCausland; her grandchildren, Charles, Angelique, Joshua, Heather, Buzz, Sarah, Amy, Caleb, Young, Andy and Eric; and nine great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Lois was preceded in death by her daughter, Kathy Shreves; her sons, Joseph D. “Injun Joe” Shreves and Charles G. “Doc” Shreves; her sister, Alma; and her brothers, Ozzie, Bun and George.
