Lois Smith

There will be a service to celebrate the life of Lois B. Smith, 85, of Bettendorf, Iowa, at a later date. Lois passed away on Friday, October 29, 2021 at her home in Bettendorf.

Lois Bertha Schafer was born on December 14, 1935 in Kewanne, IL, the daughter of Edward and Bertha (DeGeeter) Schafer. She married Charles R.  Smith on May 28, 1954 in Davenport. She worked at John Deere for a brief time at the Administration Building.

She was a member of the Moline Church of Christ. She enjoyed the outdoors, including, yardwork, gardening, ice skating, also canning and spending time with her grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband; Charles of Bettendorf, daughters; Tracy Streets of Bettendorf, IA,  Cathy (Marc) Vogel of LeClaire, IA, sons: David Smith of Rock Island, IL, Doug (Deb Bazer ) Smith of Rock Island, IL, seven  grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and two sisters.
