Lois F. Treanton, 95, of Davenport, Iowa, passed away on Sunday, August 22, 2021 at Manor Care – Utica Ridge, Davenport.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be at Lowden Cemetery in Lowden, Iowa. In lieu of flowers and in honor of Lois’ love of animals, memorials may be made to a local animal shelter of the donor’s choice.
Lois was born on February 14, 1926 in Lowden, the daughter of Alfred and Mary “Meta” (Stephens) Eggert. She married Marvin Proesch in 1949, and later married James Angell in 1960. On August 10, 1978 she was united in marriage to Jack E. Treanton. Lois was a member of St. James Lutheran Church in Bettendorf.
Those left to honor her memory are her son, Jim (Theresa) Angell of Peoria, Illinois; four grandchildren, Katie Proesch, Jacob Proesch, Dr. Ashley (Jordan) Krull, Megan Angell; two great-grandsons, Theodore Krull, Geoffrey Green; and nieces, Marie Lynch, Karen Guinn.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Michael Proesch; husband, Jack; and siblings, Charles Eggert and Genieva Carstens.
