Lois I. Dulaney, 80, of Davenport, died Tuesday, July 18, 2006 at her residence.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M., Saturday, July 22, 2006 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Bettendorf. Visitation will be from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Friday and 9:00 to 10:00 A.M. Saturday at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home, Bettendorf. A Christian Wake Service will be held at 6:00 P.M. on Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park - Veteran’s Section. Memorials may be made to the church or the Shriner’s Hospitals for Children.
Lois was born April 21, 1926 in Peoria, Illinois, the daughter of C. George & Marie (McKiernan) Cassens. She was united in marriage to Fred L. Dulaney on February 3, 1951 in Peoria.
Lois was employed by the Caterpillar Tractor Company for 25 years, retiring as an office clerk in 1984. She had worked in Peoria, Brazil, and Mount Joy, Iowa.
She was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9128 Ladies’Auxillary.
Lois loved her garden and enjoyed baking, shopping and crafts. She also enjoyed Fannie Mae Candies, coffee, and eating out.
Those left to honor her memory include her husband, Fred; her son, Michael, of Davenport; her daughter and son-in-law, Patti and Tom Daft, of Clive, Iowa; her grandchildren, Davey & Katie Daft, of Clive and Michaelle Dulaney, of Moline, Illinois; and many nieces and nephews.
Lois was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Sister Miriam Cassens, SSJ and Mrs. Donald (Carol) Marxen; and her brother, George Cassens.
