Lois Jean Negus

Lois Jean Negus, 61, a resident of Davenport, IA, passed away on Thursday, August 21, 2003 at her home after a brave battle with cancer. Interment will be at Rock Island National Cemetery, Rock Island, Illinois. Memorials may be made to the family.
Lois was born on January 26, 1942 in Davenport, the daughter of James Allen Jackson & Hannah Elmira Baker-LaGrange. She married Edwin Negus on November 4, 1972 in Rock Island, IL. He preceded her in death on May 9, 1991.
Lois enjoyed arts and crafts, particularly crocheting. She also enjoyed fishing and spending time with her beloved family, especially her grandchildren.
Those left to honor her memory include her daughters Holly Mayer-Brewer and her husband, Floyd of Danville, IL, Terri Negus-White and her husband, Paul, of Davenport; her sons, Jeff Mayer of Houston, TX, and Scott Mayer and his wife, Michelle of Buffalo, IA; eight grandchildren; her sisters, Nellie Kenyon of Davenport, Evelyn Paget and her husband, Don of Bettendorf, and Florence Neal of West Plains, MO; her brother Jack Jackson and his wife, Terri, of Milton, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and her brother, Robert Livings.
