Lois L. Henkens

Lois L. Henkens, 66, a resident of Davenport, Iowa died Saturday, March 26, 2005 at her home.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 P.M. Wednesday, March 30, 2005 at the McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Chapel, Bettendorf, Iowa. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 12:00 Noon to 1:30 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to a favorite charity.
She was born November 16, 1938 in Aledo, Illinois, the daughter of Earl & Flora Green. On June 20, 1964, she was united in marriage to Gary D. Henkens in Rock Island, Illinois. He preceded her in death on July 6, 1999.
Lois was employed as a legal secretary at Lane & Waterman in Davenport, retiring in 1998 after over 20 years of service.
Her family was the joy of her life and she treasured the times spent with her beloved granddaughter, Darci. She also enjoyed reading and doing crossword puzzles.
Those left to honor her memory include her son & daughter-in-law, Cliff & Jand Henkens of Davenport; her granddaughter, Darci; her step-grandchildren, Abby & Troy; and her brother, Raymond Green of Phoenix, Arizona.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents.
