Loreta H. Lauritsen

Loreta H. Lauritsen, 82, a resident of Bettendorf, died Monday, September 24, 2007 at Trinity at Terrace Park, Bettendorf.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, September 27, 2007 at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Chapel, Bettendorf. Visitation will be held from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home. As per her wishes cremation rites will accorded following the funeral. Memorials may be made to the family.
Loreta was born on February 3, 1925, the daughter of Earl & Cora (Felske) Sreeves. On January 6, 1944, she was united in marriage to William Lauritsen in Davenport.
She worked for many years as a retail clerk at local women’s clothing stores such as Petersen’s and Arnold’s. After she retired, she worked delivering phone books.
Loreta enjoyed sewing, crocheting, knitting, going to the casino boats and attending the Wednesday Moring Breakfast Club.
Those left to honor her memory include her husband, William; her daughters, Coreta (Bill) Reed in Florida and Cynthia Henseler and her significant other, David Keeling of Bettendorf; her sons, John (Donna) Lauritsen of LeClaire, Iowa and William E. Lauritsen of Bettendorf; her five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Gladys McKown.
