Lorraine Venhorst

A private family visitation for Lorraine Anne VenHorst, 63, of Bettendorf, will take place at a later date. Lorraine passed away on Thursday, April 20, 2023, at Unitypoint Trinity, Bettendorf.

Lorraine Anne Gall was born on January 27, 1960, in Davenport, IA, the daughter of Albert and Carrie (Smith) Gall. She married Larry VenHorst on July 27, 1991, in Pleasant Valley, IA.

She worked in the Quad City area for the last 20 years at Walmart and Schnuck’s, retiring in 2017. She attended Central High School. She enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, and spending time with her family.

Survivors include her husband; Larry of Bettendorf, daughter, Candy Gall of Bettendorf, sons, Steve (Erin) Schindler of Pleasant Valley, Marcus VenHorst of Pleasant Valley; brothers, Frank Gall of Pleasant Valley, John Gall of Rock Island, Bob Gall of Milwaukee, WI., grandchildren, Alyssa Schindler, Kenzie Klatt, Bryce Schindler, Ashlynn VenHorst and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Anthony Schindler and sisters, Sandra Buskirk and Julia Gall.
