Louise Benac

Louise Benac, 94, of Bettendorf, Iowa, passed away on Friday, February 7, 2025 at her home.

Funeral services will be private and burial is in Oakdale Memorial Gardens in Davenport, Iowa. McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home of Bettendorf is assisting the family with arrangements.

Louise was born April 8, 1930 in Bettendorf, the daughter of Moses & Susie (Hagopian) Ohanesian. She had owned and operated the former Mardi Gras Nightclub in Rock Island for many years.

Louise was united in marriage to Joseph Benac on September 26, 1970 in Rock Island.

She will be remembered for her unique personality and her unconditional love for her family and friends.

Those left to honor her memory include her husband, Joe; her son and daughter-in-law, Gary & Terrie Benac of Indiana; her granddaughter, Tracey (Matt) Hoel of Oregon; her great-grandchildren, Logan and Cameron; her sisters, Marge Hyatt and Nathalie David; and her brothers, Ray Ohanesian and George Ohanesian.

Louise was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Rose Zacarian, Annie Hessen and Sophie Foster; and an infant brother, Andrew Ohanesian.
